I could see an addition of aiming deadzone being a welcome part to the gun mechanics of Rust. So in other words, a small radius where the player aims the camera will not move as fast, but the gun can be aimed quickly without the character changing view as well. This would mean that the gun is not locked to the center of the screen, but has a free area to move around without torquing your character.

My thought is that an Aiming Deadzone could be applied to each weapon, preventing a dot in the middle of the screen to dictate where majority shots will land. Ideally, something that gives player feedback should happen before the bullet is fired. So what can be done that gives player feedback and not be as exploitable? Of course aimcone will displace projectiles, but this is a modifier to the projectile AFTER it is fired. The sole reason this cheat exists is because the weapon that is equipped will always shoot in the center of the screen, 100% of the time. /r/RustConsole (Rust console discussion)Ĭalling Crosshair Overlays a cheat may be a bit much, but it is very possible to gain an unfair advantage over your opponents that aren't using them.Ĭrosshair Overlays can be done very easily, and with a marker or a piece of tape./r/playrustservers (Server advertising)./r/playrustpublic (Official Reddit servers).Support powered by DigitalOcean Other Links Join the discord for discussion and support.
